Background of the Study

Parental involvement plays a significant role in the academic success of students. However, in many secondary schools, especially in rural areas like Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, there are limited opportunities for parents to engage with their children's educational processes. Traditional methods of parental involvement, such as face-to-face meetings and parent-teacher conferences, may not be as effective or accessible, particularly for parents with busy schedules or who live far from the school. This is where digital platforms can make a difference.

The use of digital platforms to facilitate communication between parents and schools has the potential to bridge these gaps and foster greater parental involvement. These platforms can provide real-time updates on students' academic progress, attendance, and school events, enabling parents to track their children's performance and be more proactive in addressing potential issues. Furthermore, digital tools such as messaging systems, email notifications, and parent portals can enhance the flow of communication between parents and educators, creating a more collaborative approach to supporting students' success.

Statement of the Problem

In Yola North Local Government Area, there is limited parental involvement in secondary schools, particularly in terms of access to students' academic performance and school activities.
